Dana Weingarten, MHC-LP

Dana is a Mental Health Counselor–Limited Permit holder, having earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and her bachelor’s degree in Women & Gender Studies. She is dedicated to creating a warm, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Dana believes that healing begins with genuine connection between therapist and client as well as a desire for growth and a will for change. Dana tailors each session to meet the unique needs, goals, and strengths of the individual.

Drawing from evidence-based treatment techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), along with mindfulness-based tools, and a person-centered therapeutic approach, Dana uses an integrative approach to help clients navigate challenges that prevent them from living their most authentic and fulfilled lives. Her work is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and respect for each client’s lived experience.

With experience helping individuals with a spectrum of life stressors and challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem, life changes and difficulties with adjustment, as well as identity exploration, relationship dynamics, Dana is passionate about helping individuals achieve their therapeutic goals by working as a collaborative team with them to deepen their self-awareness and build their emotional resilience in order to create meaningful and balanced lives.
