About

Emily Novick, LMHC-LP, is a mental health counselor dedicated to helping adolescents, young adults, adults, and athletes navigate life's challenges while building resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being. She believes therapy is a collaborative process where clients feel supported, empowered, and actively engaged in creating meaningful, lasting change. Emily strives to offer a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences and working toward their personal goals.

Emily's therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a focus on increasing self-awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns. She integrates mindfulness-based strategies to strengthen emotional regulation and solution-focused techniques to help clients develop effective coping skills and make practical, sustainable progress. Treatment is tailored to each client's unique needs, emphasizing collaboration, strengths, and growth.

She is dually trained in clinical mental health counseling and applied sport psychology, preparing her to support both high-performing individuals and clients navigating a wide range of emotional, developmental, and performance-related concerns. Her clinical background includes work with anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, self-esteem challenges, and personal adjustment. Her sport-psychology training adds specialized experience in performance pressure, perfectionism, and balancing high expectations in and outside of sport. Across all populations, Emily focuses on helping clients deepen insight, strengthen emotional regulation, build confidence, and cultivate resilience in ways that enhance both well-being and performance.

Emily believes that lasting growth begins with self-awareness, self-compassion, and a willingness to embrace change. Her goal is for clients to leave each session with greater clarity, practical tools, and the confidence to navigate challenges, strengthen their well-being, and create a life aligned with their values.
